Elemental CranioSacral Work: Treating the Mandible and TMJ (E2)

the jaw is the lion—the king of the cranial jungle

The human mandible exerts and incredible force upon the human form. Oftentimes I see it as a bridge between the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, between the conscious and unconscious self, the ego between the id and super-ego. In dysfunction, the temperomandibular joint (TMJ) prevents normal musculoskeletal function in almost every instance.

In this 2 Day (14 Hour) course, we will learn much about the anatomy of the TMJ, the upper neck, the Viscerocranium, the mechanisms of occlusion and mastication, teeth, root structures, the tongue, the hyoid, the throat, and more! Techniques (gestures) will be explored and played with, and students will have plenty of time to get the mandible and its potentialities well in-hand. We will be using nitrile gloves in this class.

This class is a must-take for students who work often with the jaw and upper neck. Properly worked with, a happy mandible can provide a tremendous amount of relief for the majority of your clientele.
